This existing historical Federal Townhouse - built in 1807 by John Roome, who was a sailmaker and court crier - underwent a complete gut-rehabilitation/demolition down to two of the building's original walls. These two landmark walls serve as part of the new 5,000-SF, 4-story private
townhouse residence.
The townhouse features high-end finishes that include a
walkout landscaped/hardscaped garden with a spiral staircase
leading to the 1st floor. The first floor features a 12'
x 10' library and a 25' x 19' living room with a fireplace.
On the mezzanine level is the dining room and kitchen with
finishings that include artisan plaster walls, wood flooring,
glass cabinet fronts with lacquered MDF, and brushed, stainless
steel counter tops.
The second floor features a master bedroom and bathroom,
sitting area with fireplace and a walkout terrace. The sky
lighted third floor penthouse contains a study and gymnasium.
Wood floors are utilized throughout the townhouse.
