The Pier Apartments is an 8-story, 480,000-SF apartment complex built on an existing pier in the Hudson River with two levels of above-grade parking and panoramic views of lower Manhattan's financial district. The Jersey City project was constructed on the site of a former railroad loading pier that projects 900-feet into the river with views of the Manhattan skyline, up the Hudson River and New York harbor.

The project required that a new 12” thick, reinforced concrete slab be constructed approximately 5 feet above the existing pier to provide a platform for the new building and access road, also allowing a utility service plenum underneath.

The development is directly across from lower Manhattan and adjacent to the Harborside Financial Center and includes 300 luxury rental apartments. It has access to public transportation and is one of the most unique residential locations in the country. The modern design employs light-colored brick, white and silver-colored metal panels and extensive use of glazing to highlight the views.
