Setai Fifth Avenue Hotel and Residences, 400 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan

The 60-story luxury hotel and residences, celebrated its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 4, 2010. Pavarini McGovern, CM for the mixed-use property, cited safety as a key concern within the tight constraints of the midtown location. "Our corporate safety director has been with the company since it started. We also have two full-time safety officers and our superintendents have New York City site safety licenses,” stated Anthony Cosenza, project executive for construction of the mixed-use high-rise.

Reade57 is a recently completed, 20-story condominium project located at Broadway and Reade in lower Manhattan. Pavarini McGovern served as CM for the approximately 145,000-GSF, cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure located on an “L-shaped” lot surrounding a New York City landmark building. The Broadway façade consists of sleek, tinted glass with one bay of balconies at its south end as well as the north side. The narrow mid-block façade facing east at 57 Reade Street is also tinted glass with one bay of balconies, while the western portion of the north façade is a light-colored grid.

Setai Fifth Avenue Hotel & Residences - Team receives CIB 2011 Award of Merit (click on article at left)
Pavarini McGovern, CM for the construction of the Setai, recently received an award from the Concrete Industry Board (CIB) for construction of the 60-story mixed-use structure at 400 Fifth Avenue.  The façade consists of precast concrete column covers for all exterior columns throughout the height of the building with typical 8-inch thick slabs, elevator core and stairs, concrete shear walls, and concrete strength up to 12,000 psi required by the building’s weight. The Jury remarked that the Setai “is a stand out building which will add to the New York City Skyline”.

As CM for the construction of the Setai, Pavarini McGovern also received an award from the Greater New York Construction User Council (GNYCUC) for construction of the mixed-use high-rise. According to the GNYCUC it was a “crowded field” for nominations, but the high profile address and outstanding craftsmanship, contributed to the project’s win in the Hospitality category as top project for 2011

New York Law School Wins Best Higher Education/Research Project for 2009

Pavarini McGovern, awarded New York Construction Magazine's Higher Education/Research Project of the Year for 2009, was CM for the construction of the new academic building project located in Lower Manhattan. The triumph was additionally honored with the Judge’s Award for Best Project Management. The project is a major phase of NY Law’s expansion program, supporting their planned growth at the Worth Street campus.
